Lancelotti Mara was founded in the mid 50s by Mr. Giorgio Lancelotti and his brother Giacomo and has been active in the polishing and varnishing business ever since. In the 60s and 70s the company was the first one to add more innovative glossy, semi-glossy or matt varnish finishing employing polyurethane-based paints next to the traditional oil polishing entirely done by hand. Hand rubbed oil polishing is still the oldest and most prestigious treatment offered on best guns manufactured in the Val Trompia region of Italy.
